The latest addition to our Conservation Fellows Wall of Honour is founder of Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC), Dr. Wong Siew Te. We are honoured to give him the recognition for his great conservation efforts especially for the work he has been carrying out at BSBCC where they rescue captive and orphaned sun bears, and rehabilitate them before they are released back into the wild.

Dr. Wong Siew Te took time out to visit our lodge together with his wife and daughter where he officiated one of our new Villas that is tributed to him. There was a welcoming dance performance by our team as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony to officiate the villa.
Dr. Wong Siew Te was kind enough to give a talk at the lodge about sun bears and what's being done at BSBCC to guests who were staying there that time. The talk was super interesting and informative too!
Again, we would like to thank Dr. Wong Siew Te for letting us host him and his beautiful family here in Sukau Rainforest Lodge, and congratulate him for making it onto our Conservation Fellow Wall of Honour! His work is definitely an inspiration to all of us.
Sukau Rainforest Lodge is determined to enhance guests’ experience and we are constantly finding ways to make sure your stay with us is a special and unforgettable one.
That is why we are incredibly excited to unveil our newly built and furnished villas! The villas are a new room option for guests, and we hope this new upgrade will provide them with extra comfort and will further heighten their 'Borneo experience' during their stay with us.
The new villas have an exquisite Bornean touch and ambiance to them, from its fine architecture design, down to the smallest wood carving details. All villas will be equipped with air-conditioning. Besides that, each villa also has its own private balcony for guests to step out to and enjoy the fresh-air and green surroundings. Compared to our existing standard rooms, the new villa is about 60% larger in size, which makes it an ideal accommodation for parents with little ones. The villa comes with the option of a king-sized bed as well as twin-sharing.
The villas are now available for booking and are expected to be ready by June 2017. However, only four villas will be ready for occupancy in June as the rest of the eight rooms will only be ready by July and September respectively. Due to limited availability, the villas will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
So if guests would prefer to stay in the new villa during their time with us from June onward, they can enquire and book by contacting us at info@sukau.com
